This policy explains how Leon Ventures, LLC (MyPause) (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares consumer health data on our website, mypause.health, as defined by Washington’s My Health My Data Act (RCW 19.373) and similar laws in other states, such as Nevada and Connecticut. It also explains how to exercise your rights.
Because our website is about menopause care, information about your visit may suggest something about your health. We treat it as consumer health data.
Health information you provide in our patient application (app.mypause.health) to receive care, such as your intake answers, treatment, and prescriptions, is protected health information under HIPAA. Our Notice of Privacy Practices covers it, and this policy does not.
Consumer health data we collect, and why
-
Technical information sent with every website request, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, and the time. Source: your browser, when you visit our website. Purpose: to deliver the website and keep it secure. This is necessary to show you the website, so it happens on every visit.
-
Advertising measurement information, only with your permission. If you click “Agree” on our cookie banner, a Google Ads cookie records:
- the page of our website you are viewing (its address, without search terms or other details);
- the website you came from (its domain only);
- Google’s ad-click identifier, if you arrived by clicking a Google ad;
- when you click a “Start evaluation” link, a notice that the click happened, with the title of the page you clicked from;
- the technical information above.
Source: your browser, through Google’s tag, which loads only after you click “Agree.” Purpose: to count which of our Google ads lead to visits and “Start evaluation” clicks, and to let Google’s automated bidding optimize our ad campaigns toward those clicks. It is not used for ad personalization or remarketing.
-
Messages you send us, such as an email to hello@mypause.health. This includes your email address, your name, and anything you choose to write, which may include health information. Source: you. Purpose: to respond to you.
We will not collect, use, or share consumer health data for other categories or purposes without first telling you and getting your consent.
Consumer health data we share, and with whom
- Advertising platform (with your permission): the advertising measurement information above goes to Google LLC (Google Ads) only if you click “Agree” on our cookie banner. That one click covers both the collection of this information and sharing it with Google.
- Service providers that process data on our behalf (processors): our website host, which processes the technical information to deliver our website, and our email provider, which processes messages you send us.
- Affiliates: we do not share consumer health data with affiliates.
We do not sell consumer health data.
Your browser also loads our LegitScript certification seal from LegitScript’s server, which receives the standard information sent with that image request.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Confirm and access: confirm whether we collect, share, or sell your consumer health data, access it, and get a list of the third parties and affiliates we have shared it with, and how to contact them.
- Withdraw consent: withdraw your consent to our collection and sharing of your consumer health data. On our website, use “Cookie Settings” at the bottom of any page and click “Turn off.” We then delete the advertising cookies from your browser and stop sending information to Google.
- Delete: have your consumer health data deleted. When we delete it, we also notify the processors and third parties we shared it with, including Google, so they can delete it.
We do not keep website measurement data that identifies you. The advertising cookie’s identifiers are stored in your browser, so if you ask us to delete or access that data, we may need you to send the identifiers from your browser. We will tell you how.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
